Clumber Spaniel Spayed or Neutered Adults are available for adoption. Pricing isn’t a issue with the adults. The correct home enviroment is the importance.
These adults are house trained in home and off leash training. Referrals are needed to reassure the new home is a good fit for the clumber adult. Clumber Spaniels are sensitive and need to be matched to a home that provides lots of positive loving attention.
Willie is a 4-year-old lovable Clumber Spaniel boy who is currently available. He has a gentle and affectionate nature, making him a wonderful companion for families. Willie enjoys tracking deer, showcasing his natural hunting instincts, and he especially loves being around kids. As a big boy, he thrives on playing games or simply relaxing while enjoying plenty of body rubs. Willie is a beautiful boy with a calm demeanor and a loyal heart. You can find Willie on the male dogs page.
It took us time, patience, and consistent, gentle training to help Willie learn that he was safe. We started by building trust in small steps: calm greetings, short supervised visits with different people, and plenty of positive reinforcement for relaxed behavior. Handling was always slow and predictable so he could learn that touch no longer meant pain. We worked on basic manners — sitting politely for attention, accepting a leash without fear, and coming when called — using rewards and praise rather than force.
Socialization was gradual. We exposed Willie to new situations at his pace: quiet walks, calm introductions to new people (starting with women and then respectful, patient men), and short, pleasant encounters with other dogs. Each successful experience helped him gain confidence; each setback reminded us to slow down and rebuild trust.
Now, a year later, Willie is a different dog. He’s affectionate, responds well to gentle handling, and enjoys company. He still has a careful way about him around unfamiliar men, but he seeks attention and enjoys routine. Clumbers carry memory—both good and bad—but with consistent kindness and predictable leadership, they can learn to let go of fear and thrive. Willie’s progress is a reminder that patience and compassion are central to rehabilitating a scared dog.
Willie enjoys kids and having lots of attention. He enjoys visiting stores, walking on hikes, going to the groomer and learning goofy games to play. He is nice to his toys but does go looking for a something to pick up to bring to you for attention. He has become a totally comedian clumber spaniel.
Willie is a steady beam of sunshine — a Clumber Spaniel who adores kids and craves attention. He lights up at visits to stores, loves hiking, enjoys trips to the groomer, and is always eager to learn new goofy games. Gentle with his toys, Willie will still hunt around the house for something to pick up and proudly deliver it to you when he wants your focus. Over time he’s become a total comedian: goofy expressions, playful antics, and a knack for making everyone laugh. Friendly, attentive, and endlessly entertaining, Willie is the kind of dog who turns ordinary moments into joyful memories.
